Exellent for the price!! Obviously at a lower tier hotel it isnt expected to have luxurious accommodations but this newly establised econolodge (previously days inn based on photos) far exceeds expectations! Very clean, safe, no complaints. Minor issue in bathroom w loose hairdryer wall mount (it fell off) and loose shower rod causing curtain to slip to center. As soon as I reviewed with econolodge a response was immediately received from property manager indicating these issues had already been adressed! I would be surprised to recieve that response from even a much higher level hotel. Offered full breakfast incl make your own belgian waffles, other hot items, cereal, bagels, various juice and coffee dispensers. Couldn't ask for more at a budget hotel! Dont let the bare signless exterior turn you off, I think still under name transfer. Room was even cleaned during our 2 night stay despite the older sign on mirror indocating no room cleaning during stay unless requested. Excellent location directly off 64/19 with every strip mall chain amenity that may be needed almost adjacent. Comfortable bed too!

We booked this place last minute during peak season, so we were just hoping for something clean and comfortable and it worked out well for what we paid. It’s definitely a budget-friendly option, but the room was decent, the bed was comfortable, and everything was good enough for a quick stay. One big plus is that it’s dog friendly, which made things a lot easier since we were traveling with our pet. The staff was helpful and didn’t make the check-in process complicated, even though we arrived pretty late. This isn’t a luxury hotel, and you shouldn’t expect fancy amenities, but if you’re passing through the Beckley area and just need a simple place to sleep, especially with a pet, this is a solid and affordable choice. Good stay for the price.

For the price my family and I were very pleased with this hotel! I had read the reviews before booking. This hotel was much cheaper than any hotel located in Beckley and the location was perfect for visiting sites around New River Gorge. The staff was very friendly and helpful upon our arrival. We got our room key and opened the door and were surprised at how clean the room was. No bugs or anything like that. No bedbugs either. Beds were comfortable as were the pillows. Went to the pool and it felt like a hot tub. The water was so warm. Breakfast the next morning was simple but good. The kids had cereal and waffles. I had potatoes sausage and a muffin. All tasted just fine to me. The parking lot is well lit and it felt safe. Again overall for the price paid I think this was a steal of a deal and I would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area!

The room had a musty smell, the bed was fairly comfortable, there were 4 smaller pillows on the bed, the room was clean, bathroom was clean, staff was friendly, check-in was fast, the breakfast was not good and not very many selections. There was potatoes which were not good, sausage had been sitting for too long and we were there about 7:30, no gravy, and really not too many other things to eat for breakfast. For several hours a car was backed up in front of our window playing music very loudly before we went to bed. I went to tell the front desk and they did say something and the car left. The room was very affordable and that could be why there were many individuals there probably working at different locations in the area. The location was very convenient and easy to find.

The hotel is obviously old and nothing fancy. But the room was clean and renovated. I didn't see any bugs which would be a deal breaker for me. They provide a better than average breakfast. It is absolutely the most you can hope for, for $70 a night. If that is what you are looking for then book it. If you are looking for a fancy resort, then you have to spend more money.

We're in the area have to riding our motorcycle for 2 days, we ended up riding all day in the New River Gorge area under the bridge and around to Babcock State Park and looking for a hotel for some odd reason all the hotels were triple the price except for this one. In the past we were skeptical because of the name, but I have to say this was very clean there's no strange smells The beds were comfortable the bathrooms were excellent and super clean and updated. We didn't wake up early enough for breakfast so I don't know what that was all about The outside looked a little bland but it wasn't dirty or filled with people and cars or anything. We're glad we found this little gym in the wild and we will be back to stay there again.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Econo Lodge in Mount Hope near Beckley, WV. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. Check-in was smooth, and they always made sure guests were well informed. What truly impressed me was the hot breakfast. They offered sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and more. This was my first time seeing such a good hot breakfast at an Econo Lodge, and it felt like the standard of a higher-end hotel. They are clearly maintaining a very good standard compared to other hotels. The location is also convenient and close to the highway and Beckley area attractions. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for the price, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Look, it's not the Hilton, but it's been home to us for the past 4 months and we have felt safe and secure here. We have also gotten to know the staff and manger very well. The manager is an awesome guy and he has been working hard to pick this place up, painting the whole building and working on the rooms, as well. If I were to say things are perfect, it would be a lie, but this has mostly been a very good and clean place for us to stay. When we first stood here it was only going to be for a couple days and while the room and beds were clean, there was a bad smell in the room. My wife is on oxygen and I had to move the little fridge to access the power outlet and discovered that there was mold underneath it. We told the manager and he took it seriously, moving us to a much nicer room that didn't smell and I also saw him and a helper take a carpet shampoo machine in there to address the problem. Our new room was a handicapped room and the bathroom was huge. That helped a lot. They have daily breakfast here and there are actually hot items(potatoes, sausage patties and sausage gravy, and make your own waffles... the gravy and waffles being our favorites), hot coffee and juice and a selection of bread, biscuits and bagels and cold cereal and milk... it's definitely not bad for the price you pay for a hotel room... and we like it. Definitely more than you would get from other economy hotels I've been to! During our first few days, there was an incident where the hot water was out for a day but the manager also refunded us for that day. It was during a weekend too and they couldn't get anyone to resolve the issue that day. There have been no other issues since then and things have gone quite smoothly for us here. We get clean sheets and towels whenever we need them and although they will come and clean the room, if we want them to, we have been doing it on our own, borrowing the vacuum and buying some very cheap items from the dollar store(toilet brush, bleach wipes, etc) to make it like our home... since we are under some peculiar circumstances that are forcing us to do an extended stay here. We also have not had any issues with noise or rowdy guests. There have been some trashy people though, who just throw their beer bottles and cigarette butts wherever, but the staff does make an effort to pick those things up. The staff is a mixed bag and some are more friendly than others, not that any of them are unfriendly, just more quiet than anything and a couple of those ones have even broken out since we've been here. The manager has done a lot to turn things around, and from what I understand, there used to be a history of seedy element that this place was known for... but that is no more, and we have seen many families stay here with no issues. There is also a pool here, as well as, a small laundry room, ice machines and a vending machine that has pretty good prices compared to others I've seen... all for your convenience. The rooms also have microwave and refrigerators and our air conditioning worked great the whole time. The biggest negatives I could tell you is that we could not access the Wi-Fi from our room at all and the cable is extremely basic. Also, if you're used to a huge TV, they have small ones here. If you have any problems while here, just talk to the staff and they or the manager will address any issues. Believe me, if there was more to report, I would surely tell you. All in all, if you need a budget friendly place to stay, this is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again. They are at the top of the affordable hotel section and is the reason I am giving them 5 stars.
